Namecheap Customer Reviews

Most helpful Namecheap reviews by customers

Positive Namecheap review

“Flawless provider: I registered my first domain with them in 2009 or 2010 (I don’t exactly remember) and started using their shared hosting a couple of years ago; since then, my hosting experience has been absolute smooth sailing: service has been (as review title says) flawless, support has solved every issue I had very quickly and was always there whenever I had questions, prices are among the best in the industry – they have monthly coupons and other special offers. Definitely the best registrar out there, and an excellent host as well.”

Negative Namecheap review

“I had simple questions for hosting techs (mostly why changes they promised 2 yrs ago to improve their customers’ accounts with easier navigation were not made) and I just kept getting more and more BS from them that didn’t make any sense. This, coupled with the fact that every response from them took 5-7 min made this an all-day frustration. Conclusion, Namecheap is a cheap knock-off reseller of hosting with no experience. My advice is to stick with a real hosting site with honest and fast customer service.”

Positive Namecheap review

“Namecheap offers the best price available for my domain. Their interface is easy to use, and when I ran into a problem, their customer service was excellent. After having less than excellent experiences with other domain providers, Namecheap has been a breath of fresh air!”

Positive Namecheap review

“I moved 80 domain names and 15 websites to Namecheap. Am using both their domain reg services and webhosting. Email forwards and webpage responses have been very snappy. Their website layout is logical and functional with no annoying upsales marketing. The cPanel is loaded with features and includes a large number of free applications for you to use. They have only chat based support, but that has worked out extremely well. I initially had to use it several times since I was moving so much over to them. It was completely satisfactory. I’ve been using webhosts since the mid-90s and believe that Namecheap is the best one I’ve ever dealt with.”

Positive Namecheap review

“I just upgraded from Ultimate Plan hosting to VPS 3 hosting and had an issue with a php file that went awry. Namecheap technicians and help desk support, worked with me for over an hour to sort the problem out. Their step by step guidance was first rate and it was just as if I was sitting in the same room with them! Thanks to them, the error was fixed – they even went above their normal services and showed me where the erroneous code was located, so that it could be fixed. The site is now up and running. I’ve been with since they started out a decade or so ago and would never think of going anywhere else. Staff are on hand 24/7 and are patient, understanding and diligent in resolving any issues. Thank-you Namecheap!”

Positive Namecheap review

“I have been using NameCheap for registering domain names for about 7 years now and have found that their prices for domain names are much better than GoDaddys. Over the last year I figured I would also give them a shot for web hosting, too. My expectations were very high since I have been using BlueHost for years. Upon signing up with them I was pleasantly surprised on how easy they are to work with. The customer care is fantastic. They usually answer our questions on live chat in 2-4 minutes. If we have a bigger problem we usually submit a ticket request, which is usually answered in 1 hour. The speed has been pretty decent. Our site does not ever take over 2 seconds to load. The uptime is very good too. I do not recall a time when our site was down for more than 5 minutes over the last year. I can not really think of anything negative to say about them. Overall, I am pretty happy with NameCheap and will continue to use them :)”
